Children Secure, Families Restored

WHY THIS MATTERS

When young adults age out of foster care, life becomes complex. As indicated in the Vision 30 video, the only thing that allows them to be healthy is a meaningful relationship. My deepest desire is to see communities, led by the church, to step in and develop relationships that lead to healthy families and children who are secure.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Kids need families. So if you are willing to be one, become a foster parent or adopt a child from foster care. I can show you how.

If you would rather help temporarily, you can step in ahead of time to open your home to children in crisis short term though Safe Families (up to 90 days) or long term through Expanded Families. These programs are part of the organization where I work -- Patrick Henry Family Services.

Or if you aren't quite ready for either of those, you can get your church involved in CarePortal.org. Meeting physical needs of families in crisis to become part of their lives through relationships is the key. If you would rather fund the needs and let me organize the work, you can sign up through my church to see the needs we are trying to meet.
